So pleased to finally put my own spin on Roy Lichtensteins ‘Whaam!’ – This is one of those paintings that I’ve been waiting for the right wall to do it on.
I was given the choice to either recreate it faithfully or add something of my own – so decided to change nothing but the explosion which I painted in my realistic style which made for a stronger contrast between the hard graphic look of the rest of the piece.
